Carsen's Wisdom

I am not sure how much I will post but I think this thing is really cool. I thought I would share a humerous moment with everyone. Last Friday, our good friend was going to take Carsen to the Kimberly football game. I was holding Allysen who was crying. Carsen asked why she was crying and I replied that it was because she could not go to the football game. Carsen promptly began to rub her head and say "It's ok Allysen, but crying is not going to get you anywhere." You can't help but smile. Think he heard that before?

Best Friends

Madysen & Allysen

Maycee & Allysen

I have two really great friends. One I've been friends with since Kindegarten, 27 years ago, and the other since 8th grade, 20 years ago. This year, they both had babies just like us! AND, they both had girls! Madysen Krause was born on May 20th and Maycee Reisner was born on September 3rd! I'm so happy that my baby girl will have two baby girls her age to grow up with! I hope they can become best of friends like Michelle and I and Erin and I did!

Thank you for being my bestest friends in the whole world! I can't get rid of you now, you know to much!!! LOL :-)

Swimming Lessons

So tonight we had swimming lessons for Carsen! Our son has been deathly afraid of water his whole life....just 4 measly years! He only will go in the water in the bathtub or right along the edge of a pool or in the most shallow part of a lake and then it takes us some coaxing and about 20 minutes to get a toe in! So, I thought to myself, " self, why is it that Carsen is so afraid of water?". Then it dawned on me...maybe it was that fact that his PARENTS were making him do the things!! So, I stuck him in a class by himself so he couldn't kick and scream at us! Tonight, he floated on his back, jumped in the water..with his teacher to catch him, of course...and floated on his stomach (head above water, mind you) and dipped his chin in! As I watched this, I had a little tear in my eye thinking to myself that my baby is growing up and doesn't need his mom anymore! Makes me want to have another one and then I think about last night and all the nights since June 3rd with getting up with Allysen at 2, 3 or 4 in the morning and then that itch goes away! I love my kids!

Have a great Day everyone!

All about Allysen

Allysen is almost 3 1/2 months old! She is a joy to watch grow everyday! Having a girl is a different experience than raising a boy for 4 years! She demands her attention and if you walk away, she will cry! She smiles, makes some noises and trys to copy your mouth movements. Stay tuned for new updates as they go by so fast!

All about Carsen

Carsen has started 4K at Sunrise Elementary School in Kimberly, WI. He loves it, although, he won't tell us what he does there. Says it is a secret! I hope the teacher will tell us more at parent teacher conferences! He has started flag football on saturday mornings through the YMCA. He is a really great runner and wants to tackle the other boys! I've included a recent picture of him wearing his AJ Hawk jersey! He loves his Packers and can't figure out why Brett Favre is not playing anymore! Dave and I tell him it is grown-up complicated stuff. He just says 'OK' and cheers for him anyway when the Packers play! Oh, to be so young again!
